The client
CDA Maashorst is a local political party with candidates representing every village and neighborhood within the municipality.

For the local elections, they wanted to create a campaign that felt close to residents, communicated trust and made visible what the party wanted to mean for every individual community. Not just from a policy perspective, but especially through the people behind the story.

The challenge
The challenge was to translate a broad political message into a campaign that felt human, local and instantly recognizable.

In local politics, everything ultimately revolves around trust and the people who carry that trust.

That is why we developed a campaign concept where the focus was not the party itself, but the candidates, the villages and the residents.

From one strong campaign line, we built a flexible system that created space for major themes such as housing and healthcare, while equally supporting individual candidate stories and village-specific plans.

Built around the campaign promise Samen kan het (Together we can), we created a flexible creative system that could easily adapt to every theme within the campaign. This led to recognizable extensions such as Together we live, Together we care and Together with the farmer, allowing every expression to stay connected to the same central story.

By intentionally building the campaign around people and villages, every political standpoint was given a literal human face.Candidates were visibly connected to their themes, their village and their personal story, making the content feel close, trustworthy and directly relevant to local residents.

The campaign did not only live in the streets, but was also translated into a clear and recognizable social media system.Using the same visual rhythm, messaging structure and local storytelling, we created content that strengthened the campaign online and generated over 100,000 views across the region.

Under the activation line Samen kletsen over Maashorst (Talking about Maashorst together), we developed a mobile campaign concept centered around a bench. This allowed candidates to literally take the conversation into the streets, using questions, statements and conversation starters to discuss topics such as housing, traffic, healthcare and livability. The bench became a visible symbol of listening, turning real conversations into one of the most recognizable campaign moments.

The election newspaper became the place where strategy, content and human stories naturally came together. With articles such as Together with the lead candidate, Together with the volunteer and the extended village series, the publication gave the campaign a strong door-to-door presence. Rather than fragmented political information, it became a recognizable and human story in which the voice of Maashorst itself took center stage.
